Marketing solutions · RCS

Your brand, verified, in native messaging.

RCS keeps everything that made SMS universal and adds what it lacked: your logo, visuals, action buttons and a real conversation. All inside the messaging app already installed on your customers' phones.

Two modes

Broadcast, or converse.

Depending on the objective, RCS behaves either as a visual campaign format or as a full customer-relationship channel.

Push

Rich campaign

One polished message sent at scale: a visual or a carousel, formatted copy, action buttons that open a page, start a call, add an event to the calendar or trigger a callback request.

Conversational

Two-way exchange

The recipient replies inside the conversation. Suggested replies, slot selection, case tracking, handover to an advisor: the thread stays single and attached to the customer record in the CRM.

RCS costs more per message than SMS: it pays off when the visual and the built-in action change the conversion rate — not for a plain appointment reminder.

Benefits

What you gain

A recognised identity

Your brand name, logo and colours displayed with a verification indicator: the recipient knows who is writing before reading a word.

A frictionless journey

A button replaces copy-pasting a link. Booking a slot, requesting a callback or viewing an offer takes one tap, inside the conversation.

Fewer inbound calls

Recurring questions — where is my order, when is my appointment — get answered in the thread, without tying up an advisor.

Fine-grained measurement

Actual reads, clicks per button, replies: you learn what triggers action and decide the next message on facts.

Guaranteed coverage

Automatic SMS fallback on unsupported handsets: the campaign reaches your whole base, with the best rendering available.

One thread in the CRM

The conversation is attached to the contact record, alongside calls and SMS. Your reps keep a single history to read.

Who RCS is for

Retail and e-commerce get a catalogue format right inside messaging; transport and logistics, visual delivery tracking; banking and insurance, an identified channel that reassures recipients about where the message comes from; home services and energy, a simple way to get an appointment booked in one tap.

How an RCS campaign is launched

Your brand must first be registered and verified — name, logo, description, colours — then the message is built, the buttons defined and the SMS fallback rule set. We handle the registration and review the journey; a test campaign on a sample validates the rendering before the full broadcast.

RCS, SMS and data: one chain

RCS runs from the same platform as SMS marketing, draws on the same audiences — yours or the consented B2C base — and feeds the same lead generation pipelines in the FinixPhone CRM.

The rules are still those of prospecting

Rich content does not mean a lighter framework: prior consent for B2C, sender identification and a way to unsubscribe apply to RCS exactly as they do to SMS, with the same automatic handling of opt-outs.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about RCS

What is RCS?

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the successor to SMS. It uses the phone's native messaging app but allows rich content: verified sender name and logo, images, video, carousels, action buttons and two-way conversation. The recipient has nothing to install.

What is the difference between push RCS and conversational RCS?

Push mode is one-way: you broadcast a rich message and the recipient taps a button or a link. Conversational mode opens a genuine exchange — the recipient replies, picks an option, books a slot, and the conversation can be handled by an agent or an automated journey.

Do all handsets receive RCS?

RCS is supported natively by Google Messages on Android and, since iOS 18, by iPhone. Coverage keeps growing but is not universal: when a handset is not compatible, FinixPhone falls back to SMS automatically so the message is still delivered.

What does a verified brand add?

Your name, logo and visual identity appear inside the conversation with a verification indicator. Recipients immediately know who they are talking to, which limits confusion with impersonation attempts and improves the trust placed in the message.

What statistics does RCS report?

Beyond delivery, RCS reports whether the message was actually read, clicks on each button, and replies. You can therefore tell a received message from a genuinely read one, which SMS does not allow.

Does RCS replace SMS?

Not yet, and not everywhere. The right approach is to broadcast in RCS and let the SMS fallback cover the rest of the installed base: you get the best possible rendering on each handset without excluding anyone.
