Why Morocco

Why Morocco for contact centres

A qualified French-speaking workforce, time-zone proximity with Europe and a mature offshoring ecosystem make Morocco a favoured location for a call centre serving European customers.

What you need

What it takes to equip a floor

  • Call centre software (the heart of the setup): call distribution and supervision
  • A stable internet connection and good audio headsets
  • Numbers, local and international, depending on your markets
  • Supervisors equipped to manage quality

The good news: with a cloud solution, most of the setup is software — there is no switchboard to install.

The software

Call centre software: the heart of the setup

This is what separates a telephone from a real floor. The key functions:

  • Automatic call distribution (ACD) and skill-based routing
  • Queues and priorities
  • Real-time supervision: discreet monitoring, whispering, barge-in
  • Reporting by agent and by campaign

See our dedicated page: call center software.

Inbound or outbound

Inbound or outbound calls?

An inbound centre handles support and customer service; an outbound centre runs telesales, prospecting or collections. FinixPhone covers both, with outbound campaigns and automatic call-backs.

Indicators

The indicators to track

  • Answer rate and waiting time
  • Average handling time (AHT)
  • First-contact resolution rate
  • Conversion rate on outbound campaigns
CRM

Connecting the CRM

Without a CRM coupled to telephony, agents lose the customer history and supervisors lose the commercial reading of activity. The coupling is what turns call volume into usable data.

Getting started

Starting well

Begin with a pilot team, map your real call flows before writing the routing rules, and invest the training effort in supervisors rather than agents. See also supervision and reporting.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why choose Morocco for a call centre?

A qualified French-speaking workforce, time-zone proximity with Europe and a mature offshoring ecosystem. These are the reasons usually given by European companies that set up there; they are market conditions, not claims about our own presence.

What hardware is needed to equip a floor?

With a cloud solution, no switchboard. You need a stable internet connection sized for your simultaneous calls, workstations with good headsets, and IP phones only if you prefer them to a browser.

Can we have both Moroccan and European numbers?

Yes. Numbers are allocated by market, and the platform routes them to whichever team you designate — see virtual numbers. The exact country list is sent on request.

Does the platform handle outbound campaigns?

Yes: outbound campaigns, automatic call-backs and reporting by campaign are part of the call center software. Consent for the contacts you call remains your responsibility.

Is support available in French?

Yes, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (CET). That is often the deciding factor for a French-speaking floor, especially in the first weeks.
